Sara takes the number 8 spot in the top 10 of 100 of the hottest women as voted by the members of the lesbian and bisexual entertainment site AfterEllen. (I voted! Sara was in my own personal top 10, of course)

What is the AfterEllen Hot 100 you ask? It was started last year as as a response to the lists compiled by popular mens magazines s (which normally include the likes of lindsay lohan and paris hilton). The question was raised "Would a list of women chosen by women look the same as a list of women chosen by men?". It does, somewhat...but it differs in a lot of ways as well.

Here is what AE had to say about Sara who moved from #80 in the list last year to #8 in this years list.

"The woman who made perhaps the biggest jump in the rank this year is actress Sara Ramirez, who rose from No. 80 in 2007 to No. 8 in 2008, proving that playing gay can be good for your career! (Ok, so the voting was closed before her character came out on Grey's, but we lesbians have excellent gaydar, even for fiction TV characters.)...

...Sara Ramirez may be TV's newest queer character, but the Grey's Anatomy star was sexy to lesbian and bi women even before she played gay. The Mexican-American actress and Juilliard graduate has recorded a Spanish-language PSA about homophobia for GLADD, won Tonys for her musical talents on Broadway, and is proud "to represent a group of women who aren't stick-thin". I'm just adding a quick important update while I continue to work on getting the site up to date.

ABC has released episode stills of the May 22nd finale of Grey's Anatomy's forth season. Lucky for us, Sara was featured in almost half of them. You can find them in the gallery or click on the images below




In true Grey's Anatomy fashion, the promos still leave us wondering if the finale will turn out in favor of the Callie/Erica storyline or the Callie/Mark storyline! I'll let you all get back to biting your nails about it now!!

And We're Back In The Game...

SRO is back!

I'm still in the process of getting things updated and lining up help! Thank you to all of you who emailed me, I havent decided yet who I am going to bring on, so fear not if I havent gotten back to you yet.

As most of you probably already know Grey's Anatomy is back and there are some exciting new developments happening with Callie finally. To be honest, this little gay heart of mine is bursting with femslash happiness and is looking forward to getting the site going again. Dont know what I'm talking about? Well here is a little sneak peek.



I will post a formal update when a big chunk of updates are completed but until then make sure to check the gallery and media sections for new things.

Looking for a co-webmaster

Hi guys, I am in my last year of college and its really getting difficult to keep up with everything so I'm considering getting a co-webmaster. website managment/design experience is perferred. A sara fan is required ;) If you think you might be interested please contact me katie[at]sara-ramirez.com

Duties would include:
+Updating the blog with news
+Gathering news
+Uploading youtube videos
+Updating gallery
+Posting on the forum
+Updating affliates and other small site changes (depending on the level of experience said person has)

They would have to keep in contact with me often and follow instructions. If you dont have to time to help me keep the site up to date please dont apply. I know that I dont have time, so I dont need two people with little time :)

In your email please alert me of your experience , what duties you would be willing to do/not willing to do included an in addition to those listed. Please also tell me how you became a Sara fan. Please also let me know what your schedule is like (Work? School? Hobbies? ect). If you have a youtube name sara forum name please state that as well so I know who you are!

Sara On The Runway *UPDATED*

According to Heart Truth Media Sara will be a part of the Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection 2008 fashion runway show to raise awareness about women and heart disease taking place at Fashion Week Friday, February 1st. Each February since its launch, the Red Dress symbol has come to life on the runway on National Wear Red Day with the support of the fashion industry and celebrity models at the Red Dress Collection Fashion Show.

Sara will be representing Angel Sanchez (The same designer that she wore to the SAG awards this past Sunday). To read more about the show and the participants click here. ***UPDATED*** 2/1 - 1:18 PM images from the event are being added to the gallery throughout the day.
